After October 7, when I heard the tragic news, my heart sank. My daughter lives in Israel, and in those first moments, I was overwhelmed with fear. I went straight into my studio, needing to pour out the emotions I couldn’t put into words. What came through was this painting—a reminder to myself of the beauty of life and the joy of simply being alive.
