"Giverny" was inspired by Monet's Water Lilies series, and by the inspiration he drew from the beautiful water garden he created at Giverny. In the transcendent yet grounded exploration of the water lily theme, in 250 immersive paintings, I identify with Monet's obsessive dedication to the act of mining for an elusive, ephemeral truth, revealed in the observations unveiled through the very physical yet meditative act of painting.
