This painting was inspired from a trip to New Mexico on an Artist Retreat in the Desert Mountains of Truth or Consequences. The house I stayed in had an amazing cactus garden and fortunately it was in full bloom when I was there. This is one of the stunning cactus blooms bursting with color which really caught my eye.
