The Little Princess

Creating art is for me like working a jigsaw puzzle. When I find that last little piece, such as the upturn of a wry smile that captures the essence of a person, the flaming red-orange of a royal poinciana tree, or a bit of whimsy, it is a eureka moment.
Joy comes when viewers want to pinch the cheek of a baby I’ve captured or desire to know more about a location. I know I have succeeded when I take my viewers’ breath away and they smile with delight.
Painting is a passion for me. My job as a painter is to make subjects come alive, to provide a vibrancy and joy that cannot be captured by a photograph. I prefer to work BIG & BOLD!
