Boxed In

I have an acrylic sculpture that sits at an oceanfront window. I watch it as I go about my day and when it starts to throw jewel-toned colors across the room I take photos.

I could leave it at the photo. It’s interesting. But it’s like the difference between admiring the hot car in the showroom and taking that car for a spin on the open road. The challenge, for me, becomes finding the movement, capturing the color and sharing what I feel. Something like enjoying the music in the hum of the engine.

Geometric abstracts are a departure from my usual way of working. I am mostly known for my plein air
landscapes and commissioned paintings of clients’ homes, gardens, children… I’ve shown in galleries and museums from coast to coast and been honored with invitations to plein air events in Carmel, Sonoma, Manhattan.

These days you’ll find me roadside or seaside mostly in Boca and Delray or in my Zero Empty Spaces Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRIC) studio. Come visit me and my 17 fellow artists there. We have art, cafes, plenty of parking and even charging stations for your hot car!
